Nathaniel Dickenson , d. 21 Oct 1775, Spotsylvania Co., VA; will probated 16 May 1776, Spotsylvania Co., VA; m. Elizabeth  (unknown) .   In his Will Nathaniel leaves to his wife, "all my estate, real and personal, during her natural life, and then to be divided between the following:  sons Nathaniel, Richard and Elijah Dickenson  and Betty Pullim  and Fanny Garton , but if the said Fanny Garton should marry, she may enjoy her part during her life, and at her death it shall return to Elijah Garton 's children; son William Dickenson ".[xxiv]
