From ca. 1167 on Henry had a mistress, Rosamund Clifford , daughter of Walter de Clifford , Knight. Henry II, had a number of illegitimate children by a number of various affairs:

Geoffrey Plantagenet , son of Henry II, King of England and Ykenai, a common whore . Geoffrey was made the Archbishop of York, ca. 1189. Shortly afterwards he was sent into exile by Richard I, Coeur de Lion .
