William Walthall , b. 1608; d. 1669-1670; m. ca. 1656 to Ann Archer , of Port Walthall, Henrico Co., VA.  Ann (Archer) Walthall  m 2^nd by 1672 to Rev. Richard Morris.

William Walthall  immigrated from England to Henrico County, Virginia and arrived in the Colonies prior to 1656.

Anne Archer Walthall’s name is found recorded in 1672 as Anne Archer Walthall Morris .

William & Ann (Archer) Walthall  had four (4) children:

2.3.1.  Jarrett Walthall , son of Jarrett Walthall, b. 25 Feb 1729[v], Henrico Co., VA; d. bef. 22 Apr 1805, Elbert Co., Georgia; m. to Susannah Williams  or Clark , d. bet. 2 Feb 1805 – 4 Sept 1815, Elbert Co., Georgia.

There are numerous alternate spellings for his first name:  Jarrett, Jarret, Jerrard, Gerrat, Garred.

In 1773, Jarred Walthall  leased his plantation to William Bragg  for 15 years and sold it to him in 1786[vi].

In 1783 he served as an appraiser for the estate of Isham Stroud [vii]

Revolutionary War Service:

He furnished supplies to the Colonial Army in Virginia.[viii]

Edward Walthall  migrated to Georgia with his father.  He eventually settled in Jasper County.

Nancy Turman  emigrated from Scotland to Virginia[xii].

Edward Walthall  received a land grant for 640 acres in Elbert County, Georgia for services in the Revolution.[xiii]
