Deed Book A, p. 253, Sussex Co., Va – William Green  of Brunswick Co., VA to Burwell Green  of Sussex for 20 lgs., 212 acres of land, N side of Nottoway River, adj Johnes Branch, Wm. Richardson ’s, Miry Meadow, Jonakin Swamp , and Gleeb Line.  Signed 10-4-1757 Wit: Robt. Farrington , Joel Freeman , Frederick Green .  Rec. 10-21-1757 (This was the land he inherited from his father Wm. Sr. which was given to him by his father Lewis L. Green ).[xv]

On 15 Dec 1763 William Green  & wife Lucy of Albemarele Parish, Sussex Co. to Henry Tatum  adjacent to Joseph Richardson  on the Woodyard..sell 212 A of land for £100 on Nottoway River .  Rec. 15 Dec 1765[xvi].

In 1763, William Green  is paid £20 in 1763 in the settlement of the estate of John Tyus [xvii].

On 17 May 1764[xviii] Indenture between Wm. Connally  and Sarah , his wife, of Brunswick, to William Green  & Lewis Green , his son, of Sussex Co., for 80 lbs 1 shilling paid by William Green & Lewis Green, his son, a tract of land southside of Nottoway River, beginning at a pine on the Double Branch, a line of trees between Wm. Rowland ’s survey and Edw. Powell ’s – 120 acres.[xix]

William and “son” Lewis bought a tract of land on the southside of Nottoway River between Wm. Rowland  and Edward Powell .[xx]

William  & Lucy (Tyus) Green  I had seven (7)) children[xxi]:

·         Lewis Green [xxv], b.  ca. 1754[xxvi]; d. 1795[xxvii], Person Co., NC[xxviii]; m. 26 Dec 1789[xxix], Caswell Co., NC[xxx] to Elizabeth Caddel [xxxi] (bondsman Andrew Caddell [xxxii]).
·         John Green [xxxiii], b. ca. 1756[xxxiv].  Mentioned as of Orange Co., NC in records relating to Burwell Green [xxxv].
·         William Green [xxxvi], b. ca. 1758[xxxvii]. Lewis , William , Burwell (Barell )  (also Anthony Garrot ) of Hillsborough District , NC signers of Peition for Thomas Hunt .  They were also in St. Luke’s District at one time.[xxxviii] William Green appears on the 1790 Census, St. Luke ’s District NC , Caswell County .  1779 – William Green, 130 Acres joining land of Thos. Bartin  on the waters of Wolfishland Creek, including his improvements where he now lives[xxxix].

·         Burrel/Bureel[lv] Green , b. 12 Apr 1765[lvi], Albemarle Parish, Surry Co., VA[lvii]; bapt 17 Nov 1765, Albemarle Parish, Surry Co., VA[lviii]. Noted as godparents/sponsors[lix]: Peter Green , Joel Knight [lx].
