In addition to genealogy here are a couple of my other interests. - Judy

My works are mainly paintings based on original photographs, that I have taken or ones that have been given to me to use as a basis for an original painting.  I am also beginning to create paintings using several sources for inspiration thus making them unique.

I began painting in 2000, by taking a crafty type painting class.  One thing led to another and I was blessed to receive a set of Genesis Artist Oils for my birthday from my husband.  (These are a unique type of oils that are heat-set.  I won't go into all that here, you can check out their website instead.)  My first painting were mainly on canvas board using acrylic paints, until... I began using the Genesis Oils.    Needless to say, I fell in love with the way the paints felt and worked on canvas.  I now primarily use Genesis Oils on canvas.  Occasionally I'll stray back into acrylics when heat set paints are unpractical - such as a mural.

My local branch of Bank of America has been a delight - while in the branch I showed the branch president my portfolio and thus has begun a wonderful relationship.  I had my first "showing" at their branch, which has turned into a permanent exhibit.  The entire lobby is used to display my paintings, which are all available for purchase.
